In its first ever elections in the Western Province, first timer and newcomer All Ceylon Makkal Congress clinched its first seat in Colombo -right in the heart of the Province.
Upon hearing the good news,ย Rishad Bathiudeen (Leader of All Ceylon Makkal Congress) said” “I thank all the voters who supported our Party ACMC’s in the 29 March Western Provincial Council Elections. They are signalling that there is a need for ย change.”
Contesting in the Colombo District,ย ACMC’sย candidates gathered 15491 votes, becoming eligible for one seat in WP. 39% of ACMC votes came from ย Colombo North Polling Div while 29% came from Colombo Central.
