Lanka Sathosa outlets in flood affected areas have been directed to support relief efforts.
โLanka Sathosa outlets in Mathugama area have been instructed to help in relief effortsโ said Minister of Industry and Commerce Rishad Bathiudeen on 27 May afternoon. Minister Bathiudeen was visiting the flood affected areas in Baduraliya in Agalawatte.
โThe flood situation here is heavy. To prevent shortages of essentials to the affected areas, Lanka Sathosa outlets in this area have been directed to help in relief efforts. I have instructed outlets in Mathugama area to be ready to assistโ said Minister Bathiudeen.
Joining Minister Bathiudeen was Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Wayamba Development and Cultural Affairs and Kaluthara District MP Palitha Thevarapperuma.
