Minister of Industry and Commerce Rishad Bathiudeen has called on the Malaysian Government to take speedy action on the attack on Sri Lankan envoy in Malaysia Ibrahim Ansar at the Kuala Lumpur Airport on 04 September.
In his meeting with Malaysian Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department and MP, Abdul Rahman Dahlan on 6 September, Minister Bathiudeen stressed of the long standing friendly relations between Malaysia and Sri Lanka in multiple spheres.
Minister Bathiudeen was meeting M.P. Rahman Dahlan on the side-lines of his visit to the three-day Pangkor International Development Dialogue (PIDD) in Malaysia.
โI express my displeasure on the attack on Sri Lankan envoy in Malaysia HE Ibrahim Ansarat by unknown persons. I urge the Government of Malaysia to move speedily and punish the wrongdoers and I am confident of speedy actionโ said Minister Bathiudeen, addressing M.P. Rahman Dahlan on 6 September.
During the 6 September meeting, both Minister Bathiudeen and Malaysian M.P. Rahman Dahlan also discussed of cooperation on trade and development between both countries.
